Happy Earth Day, everyone. I'm celebrating. Just not sure how.
So the last couple weeks (how long has it been since I updated? I really, REALLY need to keep track) have been crazy-busy, as usual.
This is the last full week of classes before finals begin. By some extremely strange stroke of luck, I have no final exams this semester. Just a bunch of projects that are due on or before the final due date. I'm perfectly content with this - one extra week of summer.
Went to a collegiate press conference in Stillwater. Spent most of the time amazed that Joel (my adviser/boss/go-to-guy/evil overlord) actually has facial expressions that don't include "
As for my final projects, I have a web thing to do that hasn't been assigned yet, a nifty collage that I'll upload to dA as soon as it's done, a video, and a couple of pages for the alumni magazine.
The ball is finally rolling on Cade's new job. He went in for a physical yesterday, and they said it would be Monday or so when he started work. I'm so happy he'll be out of the house; he's to the point now where he's in the front yard on his hands and knees plucking the clover.
Wedding's coming up, and I'm alternating between "Hooray! I can do this!" and "OMGRUNRUNRUN FOR YOUR LIFE OMG." Mostly the former... unless I really start concentrating on the fact that it's only six weeks away.
I 'graduate' May 9th. Technically, I walk the stage, shake hands with Steve (or Joel or Robin or whoever's handing out diplomas) and then come back for my final semester this fall.
Um... what else. Going to tour Fox 25 this Friday in OKC. That should be fun. Also considering going to the rattlesnake derby with Kristine, Mike, Cade, and whoever else wants to come (Sarah! Rachel!).
Oh, and I'm really frustrated with this girl on Etsy. So I ordered a pair of mittens from her on the seventh of this month. They're super-cute. In the mittens' description, it said to give her up to two weeks' knitting time before they shipped out. I saw that she's sold several pairs of mittens and that her feedback was 99%, so I thought "Ok, no problem" and ordered them. So last Thursday (or maybe it was Friday) I messaged her on Etsy to see how the mittens were coming along and when she thought they'd be shipped out. Never got a response.
So Tuesday marked the two-week deadline in the mittens' description and I still hadn't received an answer from her. I'd had no contact with her except for the payment clearing through PayPal. I Etsy convo'd her again early Tuesday morning, asking again if they were ready to be shipped or had shipped, and that I'd like to get them by May 1st.
As of today, I still haven't heard from her.
So I just finished an e-mail to PayPal asking what protocol is for receiving a refund from a seller who will not respond to messages. I don't want to open up a dispute just yet (I understand life is busy, computers crash, and so on), but if I haven't heard from her by next Tuesday (three weeks from the day I ordered the mittens) I plan on opening a dispute to see if I can get my money back.
Bleh. I'm not so much worried about never seeing the money again - I haven't done anything wrong; it's all on her end so surely PayPal will refund the money - but it's still frustrating.
In "gimme monies!!" news, I got the ONF scholarship and have an interview with the Gridiron Foundation. I'm nervous. Hooray.
